Bristol Half Marathon (and Mum is 64!)
Yesterday I dragged the family to watch me running Bristol Half marathon.
A good day, though they didn’t spot me en route (and Charlie was worried I had collapsed and was being carted off by a passing ambulance!
A good time too (for me), 1:40:16, a little off my ‘PB’ of 1:39:54, but not bad, considering most of my training was on holiday in the Loira – more wine and cheese than track and field….
We then went to Ashton Court estate to celebrate Mum’s birthday where Mum showed her sporting talent for ball sports – and looks like Charlie is inheriting the trait – shame it missed me!
Alice’s Christmas Tree
Christmas time at the cayzers. Typical chaos. But at least I got another copy of the cayzer chronicles out – which will shortly be on the web site. Here is a drawing that alice did especially for Christmas
.. and here is them signing their names.
Merry Christmas!

Sarah’s Christening
OK, so Adam gave me a hard time about keeping my blog up to date – and it is true, it does seem to be a while since I last wrote something!
Still, now Charlie’s asked me what blogging is it won’t be long until the whole family is getting in on the act. maybe.
anyway, this is a picture of a cake! To be precise, a lovely cake for the dedication (Baptists save the actual baptism bit ’til you’re big enough to make a real splash) of Sarah Rose Standen. A lovely occasion, a lovely girl. With her own blog.

The story of the billy goats Gruff
Once upon a time there lived three billy goats Gruff.
They lived on a field with not much grass.
There was a bridge and a stream.
And on the other side there was sweet green grass.
There was also an angry troll who lived under the bridge. He wanted to eat the billy goats.
One day the smallest billy goat went across the bridge. The troll wanted to eat him.
But the smallest billy goat gruff said "don’t eat me my bigger brother is coming. He is much sweeter and fatter than me. Eat him instead".
The troll licked his lips. He said "all right". And the smallest billy goat Gruff crossed the bridge.
The smallest billy goat’s brother tried to cross the bridge as well. But the troll heard his feet clippity clop across the bridge.
But the big bad troll wanted to eat the middle sized billy goat Gruff. The middle sized billy goat Gruff said "don’t eat me, eat my brother. He’s much bigger than me".
"all right" said the troll. And the middel sized billy goat Gruff crossed the bridge safely.
Last but not least the largest billy goat Gruff tried to cross the bridge.
But the angry troll heard him. So he said "stop right there I’m going to eat you".
"Eat me? Oh no I’ll eat you".
The troll was scared. The billy goat gruff put his horns down and charged at the angry troll. And flicked him into the river and the troll was never seen again.
And the billy goats gruff lived happily ever after.

New photo album site + other stuff to look at
So, we now have a general family website, and now we also have a photo album site This is better than the Typepad photo albums so I shall generally be using that for my photos.
You might also be interested that the 2005 Cayzer Chronicles are out.
The festive snowman is of course courtesy of Charlie!
Charlie’s 5th birthday party
We had a lovely time – joint birthday party with Rosie, so 40 children! Fortunately we had hired the church hall, and all importantly ‘Bobby the Clown’ to entertain the troups. As for the cake – well as you can see it had all the essential elements…
Alice’s birthday
Three today! The beautiful cake was created by Meliss’a sister Yo.
Charlie, meet Amelie
Our good friends Sev and Steve have produced a beautiful daughter, Amelie. As you can see, she was an instant hit chez Cayzer, especially with a certain young man. Sadly Charlie is already betrothed to his next door neighbour, otherwise who knows!
